Continuing a fruitful musical spring so far, the month of May brought a bounty of new trailer music releases, 56 of which are introduced in this post. With this many albums, the collection naturally spans most of the subgenres of trailer music, including half a dozen cinematic pop and hip-hop albums, in case you have a preference for vocals over your epic instrumentations. But before you go on eagerly exploring, let me quickly introduce a newcomer to Trailer Music Hub. The German composer Soundmopi, who debuted on the trailer music scene with his 2017 album "Rise and Fall", makes a comeback nearly a decade later with his second epic album "Fractured Horizon". With the spring in full swing, I bring you an early-season crop of 50 trailer music albums released in April. There's a good variety of flavors, I mean genres, too, so I'm sure at least a handful of the 50 fruits will be to your liking! Definitely don't miss Resonance, Audiomachine's first direct-to-public release in a couple of years, not counting the recent public release of the 2024 album Equilibrium. It offers a mixture of epic choral covers of some famous songs, as well as originals, featuring the Angeles Chorale, and Merethe Soltvedt's vocals too in one song. Another album I wanted to highlight is Zenith by Really Slow Motion – another epic vocal release, but this one released to the industry only, at least for now. Featuring the amazing Alexa Ray on vocals, it certainly isn't a usual epic pop album, so check it out on the BMG Production Music website! Finally, if you're one of those eagerly awaiting the FIFA World Cup to begin, you'll find a few epic sports-themed releases too in this post, so, hopefully, that will make the wait more bearable. The winter is over in the northern hemisphere, and with it the first quarter of the year too. Time flies. But that's a good thing because it means another news post is here, packed with 49 new trailer music albums released in the month of March! 37 out of them can already be streamed on most platforms, with a few more albums possibly becoming available over the next few weeks or months. The rest can be listened to on the respective trailer/production music companies' websites, or those of their distributors, with links included in the post as usual. Perhaps somewhat unexpectedly, Songs To Your Eyes is tied with Amadea Music Productions for the highest number of new non-sound-design trailer music releases, with both having six albums featured in this post. Well, since I have no blog newcomer introductions to make this month, let's just dive right in, shall we?
The February batch of trailer music is here! You'll find 47 new albums in this post, with the usual mixture across the whole spectrum of genres from epic/hybrid action, drama and adventure to more toned-down, but definitely still cinematic, genres including investigative, mystery and reflective drama. One genre that I noticed to be more prevalent than usual in this post though is epic hip-hop, both instrumental and featuring vocals. And one of these albums is actually by a debutante at Trailer Music Hub – Fearless Motivation.
Unlike previous years, it seems like composers are hard at work this summer! There is typically a sharp drop in the number of new trailer music releases I find in the summer months, but not this year. After the 61 albums in the July post, I'm bringing you another 59 new releases in this one! Honestly, even I didn't have time to take vacation this summer, but that won't necessarily be the case for the rest of the year. Anyway, vacations are all well and good, but let's talk music! So, what's the August news, you ask? Well, J.T. Peterson is back after two years with his fourth solo album. It's a beautiful one-hour cinematic journey that you definitely don't want to miss! And, in case you were wondering what's been up with Liquid Cinema lately, well, it seems like they switched focus to their Trailer Toolkit series and other sound design albums over the past couple of years, and they now only release more easy-listening trailer albums here and there. But you're in luck because they just released one such album after a year! So, ready to check it all out below?
Who's ready for 61 new trailer music albums, released in the month of July? Unfortunately, I can't quite vouch for the summer vibes of these albums. Remember all those Halloween albums in the June post? Well, now in July we have a couple of Christmas albums! Did I miss the news? Seems like all the holidays are coming early this year. Or twice? Anyway, I did include a handful of romantic and light drama albums – a potential soundtrack for those late, warm summer nights when you might get cozy with someone. If you don't care for that though, you'll find here the usual mix of epic, dramatic, thrilling, as well as uplifting, inspiring and adventurous music. And if you're looking for something more unique, there's one cyberpunk album in this post, as well as some epic hip-hop tracks! Or how about action comedy? Okay, I think I've made the point by now – there's something for everyone among the more than 60 albums presented in this post. So, off you go and start exploring!
The month of June followed in the footsteps of the earlier months of this year in terms of trailer music productivity. With 58 new albums, this post will keep you and your ears occupied for a while, I hope! Curiously, there were a surprising number of horror- and dark fantasy-themed albums released in June... is Halloween happening early this year? Oh, and that's not the only peculiarity in this post. Amadea Music Productions had, for a very long time, been the undisputed leader (at least among the trailer music companies that I cover here at Trailer Music Hub) in the number of new non-sound-design trailer music releases month after month. Not in June though! Audiomachine took the crown with 7 new albums! Mainly thanks to a bunch of new releases in their Studio Series, but still... Finally, a quick shout-out to Inon Zur and Jon Adamich, both of whom released their first solo trailer music album in 3 years. Good to see you back!
Here is the April dose of fresh trailer music! Although, with 51 albums, lagging somewhat behind the record-breaking month of March, it doesn't fail to deliver a wide variety of genres. Whether you're in a triumphant mood and celebrating, or, on the contrary, more of a melancholic mood and in need of some uplifting tunes, this post definitely has something for you. But most importantly, the month of April marks the return of J2 – the master of epic covers! It's been 4 years since his last trailer music release and 6 long years since the last entry in the Iconic Series, after having produced no less than 8 albums in this series just between 2014 and 2019 alone. The brand new 9th volume offers a fresh batch of trailerized remakes of a dozen oldies ranging from late 1960s to early 2000s, so everyone will probably identify a song from their childhood on this album. Let the belated Easter egg hunt begin!
With 62 new trailer music releases, this post breaks the previous record of 60 from February 2024! That amounts to dozens of hours of new music for you to check out, but let me give you a few highlights before you dive in. Audiomachine's Studio Series catalog can no longer be found on the Audiomachine website after entering into a partnership with Audio Network to represent this catalog instead, as of last October. This post features some of the first Studio Series albums from after the transition. Next, Akela Sun has released the first album with new music since 2021. Although it's really just a 6-track EP, it's good to see that this trailer music project of the German-Australian composer Guido Negraszus is still alive!
Year after year, February doesn't fail to deliver an amount of new trailer music on par with the full-length months. Moreover, the collection of 53 albums in this post features a great variety of genres, including epic blues, cinematic americana and medieval fantasy, as well as some borderline cinematic genres that only occasionally make an appearance in these blog posts, such as symphonic/folk metal and synthwave, and even a few albums with strong world music influence. Oh, and in case you were missing some new blood on this blog lately, you're right, I haven't introduced any new composers or trailer music companies in a couple of months, so I'm going to make up for that by introducing two in this post!
Welcome to the first post of 2025 and I hope you had a fantastic start to the new year! Historically, January has been one of the most productive months of the year in terms of trailer music releases, likely a consequence of clearing the holiday-induced backlog of unpublished music from December. And here we are, kicking off this year's news with 55 new albums! You'll find an abundance of epic music among them with inspiring and triumphant energy – just what we all need at the beginning of a new year! Don't miss Soundcritters' Far Beyond, coming out exactly two years after their previous release, as a prime example of that and with a little bit of a fantasy flavor. The Lorne Balfe Collection also grew for the first time since their debut in 2023 and that by no less than four thematically diverse albums, including gothic and cyberpunk music! Go check 'em all out and find some new favorite tracks!
The last month of 2024 saw a surprising bounty of new releases, considering December is the winter holiday month. Well, I'm not complaining to have been able to listen to 47 new trailer music albums, I just hope folks from the production music industry got to take some time off and spend it with their families! Speaking of holidays, don't miss Thomas Bergersen's "A Christmas Carol". Besides that, the December selection offers just one magical fantasy album and a couple of epic fantasy ones. Honestly, I feel like some of the earlier months (including July!) had more to offer in terms of holiday atmosphere. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the final batch of trailer music releases from 2024!
With the summer vacation season in full swing and the usual slowdown in the production of new music this time of the year, I think having found 45 new trailer music releases from July can be deemed a success. The selection offers a broad range of genres, so whether you're looking for something epic or not so epic, I'm sure you'll find something to your taste. Hey, you'll even find a couple of epic Christmas music albums, if that's your thing to listen to in the middle of the summer. With that said, I'm sure you can't wait to go ahead and explore the new releases, but let me do the usual introduction of a first mention on Trailer Music Hub. This month it's Twelvetones Production Music, a Hungarian label with nearly 80 albums in their catalog. In 2023, it was merged into Schubert Music Library, which is where you can find and listen to Twelvetones' entire catalog. Unfortunately, not a whole lot of their music is available for streaming, but I'll keep an eye on any future public releases and report them. Enjoy the new music!
Here are 53 new trailer music releases from June! Besides heaps of epic music, you can expect to find some cinematic synthwave and blues rock music among the albums too, and perhaps another one or two more unusual genres if you explore the selection carefully. In this post, I also introduce a new release by Michael Maas for the first time, a German composer whose name I'm sure many of you will recognize, as he composed music for the likes of Really Slow Motion, Immediate Music, Colossal Trailer Music and Silver Screen over the past more than a decade, and more recently for Justement Music. In 2020, he founded the very productive label Audio Attack, which offers both a production music and a trailer music catalog, boasting over 130 albums across the two catalogs at the time of writing. Besides that, Michael also wrote a solo piano album, Adagio, back in 2014, which is also absolutely beautiful and I recommend checking it out. Alright, see you at the bottom of the list!
